Sesame Snaps


For some reason I always seem to buy masses of sesame seeds. Whenever I need them the only packets available are the unnecessarily large ones… and there are only so many stir fries you can cover in sesame seeds before you go hunting for a recipe to use them all up en masse.. here is one of those recipes, and it’s super SUPER simple!

  • 100g of lightly toasted sesame seeds
  • 60g of sugar
  • 4 tablespoons of honey
  1. Heat the sugar on low heat in a heavy bottomed saucepan until it goes a golden, caramel colour (you may want to add a splash of water)
  2. Add the honey
  3. Stir in the sesame seed
  4. Transfer to a tin/ dish, mark out slices and allow to set
  5. Leave plain or drizzle with yogurt icing or melted chocolate.. here I used white chocolate stars.
  6. Enjoy!
